There is a chill in the air…

This summer started off HOT in Bailey with temperatures well into the 90s. Fortunately the hot weather didn’t stay forever and June was probably the hottest month for all those who stayed at the cottage this summer. Things, however, are changing. You can feel that we are on the brink of fall. The day time temperatures are hovering in the high 70s with a chill in the air starting around late afternoon. The evening hours definitely are cool enough to wear pants and a light sweater.

The cooler temperatures have also encouraged the native wildlife to visit the property more. It is so neat to sit in the rocking chairs on the porch and see the deer feeding in the yard.
